Twice Cooked Pork

2-3 lbs pork steak
1/2 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 celery stalk, chopped
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup broth
2 T soy sauce
2 T Salsa
1/4 t ginger
1/2 t salt
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 T oil
1/2 onion, sliced thin
1 clove garlic, minced
1 green pepper, sliced thin
1-2 lbs cabbage, sliced
2 T cornstarch
2 T cold water

Put pork in a baking pan covered with onion, garlic, celery and water. Cover with foil and bake at 300ยบ for 1 hour. Strain broth. Cut pork in small pieces. In a bowl mix broth, soy sauce, salsa, ginger, salt, and brown sugar. Set aside. Heat oil in large skillet. Saute onions, garlic and green peppers. Add broth mixture. Bring to boil, reduce heat and add cabbage.  In small bowl mix cornstarch and water. After cabbage is wilted stir in cornstarch mixture. Stir until thickened.
