Chicken and Noodles:
I boiled one whole chicken in water with celery, onion, garlic and basil. Pull the chicken from bone and strain all the broth. Cut chicken up and set aside.
Put broth in pot and boil noodles in it.
I used rice pasta, but use whatever kind you prefer.
About 5 minutes before the noodles are done I thrown in about 2 cups of cut up carrots. Once noodles and carrots are cooked I add the chicken back in the pot.
If you use a whole chicken it will make a lot of baby food. You can use half for the rest of the family and puree the rest for baby.
Baby Food:
I finally found a use for the store bought baby cereal that was given to me. It makes a great thickener for baby food dinners.
What I did was put the chicken and noodles in my blender and pureed it. As Coreyn got older I pureed it less and less making it more chunky.
Next slowly add the cereal until it is to the right consistency.
I put the dinner into muffin tins. The silicone are the best because they come out easier, but any will do, you will just have to let them sit out a few minutes before they will pop out of the tins or you can run the bottom under hot water for a few seconds.
Place in freezer for a few hours until frozen and then put into freezer bags. I prefer the Ziploc handi-vac.
