Lemons (lemon juice in the morning with hot water helps to clean the liver)
Drink lots of water - very important
Apple Juice
Beets
Cucumbers
Sweet potatoes
Vinegars all types
Omega 3 oils like flax or hemp. Use these with fresh lemon juice or vinegar on your salads.
Garlic - fresh or oil, not processed types like flakes or powder. Helps with
liver cleansing.
Fruits - grapes, apples, berries, papaya, pears, apricots, berries, casaba melons, currants, figs, guavas, lemons, prunes
Vegetables - baby greens, swiss chard,
dandelion greens, beet greens, celery, carrots, ginger, okra, shallots, artichokes
Use baby mixed organic greens for salads and avoid the bitter greens for now.
Green beans - are NOT the same as dried beans
Vegetable juices - beet and cucumber are especially helpful to gallbladder
Avocados - a good way to get needed fats directly from food
Cold water fish- salmon, trout
Tomatoes - ripe
Fiber such as found in fruits and vegetables
Turmeric
Coconuts
Radishes help to dissolve gallstones but may cause some discomfort. Do not use them until your symptoms are gone.

Trans fats, Hydrogenated, partially-hydrogenated
oils
Saturated fats (even coconut oil until feeling better)
Margarine
Fried Foods
Tap water
Sugary drinks
Alcohol, beer, wine, liqueur
Coffee, regular or decaf
Black tea
Eggs
Pork
Red meats
Fowl (turkey, chicken)
Dairy (milk, cheese, cream, butter)
Gluten (wheat, barley, rye, spelt, kamut, etc.)
Oats (for some people)
Corn
Beans and legumes
Turnips
Onions
Cabbage, cauliflower
Oranges, grapefruit
Spicy foods
Chocolate
Ice cream
Nuts
Avoid all artificial sweeteners, sugar, preservatives, refined and bleached
foods (like white flour)
Avoid smoking if possible as it can exacerbate the symptoms.
Foods most likely to cause
gallbladder attacks:
eggs, pork, gluten, onion, fowl, milk, cheese, butter and other dairy, coffee,
grapefruit, oranges, corn, beans and nuts, alcohol, saturated fats, hydrogenated
oils and partially hydrogenated oils.
