Ingredients:
1 bar of Castile soap (Kirk's Castile available at Walmart)
2 quarts (8 cups) of boiling filtered water
Equipment:
A large kitchen or vegetable grater
A bowl or pot large enough to hold 2 quarts
Directions:
1. Grate the bar soap with a vegetable grater.
2. Measure out your boiling water and place it your bowl, pot or a large Pyrex measuring cup.
3. Add the flakes of soap and let rest for at least one hour. Most if not all of the soap will be dissolved into a nice concentrated liquid. At this point, transfer your liquid castile soap to some mason jars, a squirt bottle or other container and you are ready to go.
Note - Within 24 hours the batches of liquid soap turned gel-like and semi-solid. A quick run under hot water brought them back to liquid form.
As will all castile soaps, there will not be an abundant amount of sudsing. The suds in most soaps comes from sodium lauryl sulfates, a known irritant that does nothing but make suds. Be aware that you may get a few bubbles with this, but not many. Odd as it seems, it still cleans very well and does not feel at all oily even though it is an oil based soap.
Multi-Purpose Household Cleaner
3 TBL Liquid Castile Soap
1 quart (4 cups) filtered water
1/8 to 1/4 TSP Essential Oils
Shake everything together in a bottle or juice jug and fill individual spray bottles.

Foam Soap
1/4 cup Castile soap

2-3 drops essential oil
Mix together and pour in an empty foam dispenser.

Mix well and store in airtight container. Use two tablespoons per load with white vinegar in the rinse compartment.

Multi-Purpose Citrus Cleaner
Glass container
Orange peels (Or any other citrus fruit peels.)
1 T Salt
Vinegar
Distilled Water
5-10 drops Essential oil
Step One: Cut orange peels and fill any empty glass containers you have on hand
Step Two: Add some salt to the orange peels and let them sit for 20-30 minutes (or longer). This will pull the oils from the peels and ultimately make your cleaning solution stronger. You only need enough salt to lightly cover the peels.
Step Three: Fill the containers with vinegar and water. You can do all vinegar and leave it as is, you can do all vinegar and then add the water at the end of step 5, or you can do 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar.
Step Four: Put a TIGHT FITTING lid on the jars and let the solution sit and be pretty for 2-3 weeks. The longer it sits the better.

1 Cup - Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda*
½ Cup Borax

-Fill a 5 gallon bucket half full of hot tap water. Add melted soap, washing soda and Borax. Stir well until all powder is dissolved. Fill bucket to top with more hot water. Stir, cover and let sit overnight to thicken.
-Stir and fill a used, clean, laundry soap dispenser half full with soap and then fill rest of way with water. Shake before each use. (will gel)
-Optional: You can add 10-15 drops of essential oil per 2 gallons. Add once soap has cooled. Ideas: lavender, rosemary, tea tree oil.
-Yield: Liquid soap recipe makes 10 gallons.

1 gallon Water

1 teaspoon base oil of choice
5-15 drops of essential oil
Add soapwort to boiling water and cover the pan. Continue simmering for fifteen minutes. Remove from the heat and cool. Strain into a squeeze bottle. Add oils and shake.
